So here goes, Ill start by saying that phrase I'm sure alot of you are familiar with "I wasn't looking for another car but.."
So yeah, iv currently got a Mk1 Focus RS and another XR2 on the go which is alot more of a project than this so i didn't really need another car, this popped up on Facebook one day for £600. I thought that won't hang around long and went about my day. 24 hours later I'm tagged in it by a good friend, it still hasn't sold. 20 minutes later I'm getting a lift from London to Stevenage to go and have a look at it. I didn't want or need it but i thought if all else fails ill be able to break it up and make more than my initial investment back.
It was ugly, dirty, rusty but underneath the engine was strong and it had had alot of bits done to it to make it a perfect little daily driver, haggled it down to £550 and bought it home. Didn't miss a beat
Theses are the pictures from the advert
So i got it home, threw the wheels i had for my other car on and a spare set of coilovers to replace the -25mm lowering springs and uprated shocks that were on it. Also removed the spot lights and stickers to clean it up. At this point i hadn't washed it but this is the result
Yesterday a good friend came over with a boot full of cleaning gear and we went to town, iv never been a big car cleaning guy but after the results we got with his machine polisher i can see why some people get so much satisfaction from it.
This was the bonnet after a couple of passes with the polisher
And this is what were were left with by close of play yesterday
Any comments/criticisms welcome, thanks for reading
