So the other day I bought a load of Mk3 Escort stuff which i'm seriously happy with. In the haul was some vented disks with callipers/pads (mines a 1.1 but it doesn't stop that well in modern traffic) My question is: Will i have to do much modifying or any at all to fit these ? the guy i bought them from said they would go straight on as he had them on a 1.3 Escort. Any thoughts?

I think they should go straight on.
The one thing I will say is to either buy new carrier bolts from Ford or at a minimum locktite the ones that you have. Mine came undone in the RST...

As above, I've found Ford brakes to be generally interchangeable, the only problem I ran into once was that the mounting holes in the carrier were slightly too small for bolts to pass through (I was fitting Mondeo calipers to a Sierra) but running a sharp drill bit through the holes cured that.

Hey guys, Just looking at these Disks and calipers again today . Havent had chance to fit them yet and thought this could be my job over the next few weeks. Please forgive my ignorance with these questions but: - I was advised to check the pistons work before i put them on the car. The piston half of the calipers seem to move freely(but slightly stiff) so i guess thats all good? - The carrier bolts i was also advised to to buy new... obviously these are the blue bolts right? not the allen bolts on the caliper? - Anyone know what size Allen wrench I'll need? havent got one in this size. Here are some photos of what i've got. Any advice welcome... I'm going to be putting the basic Escort steels back on which I'm told they should fit with these brakes. Also can you guys identify these as RS Turbo breaks? i bought a load of stuff from a guy who was selling up and now forget what he said. Cheers Will repace this!

Yeah he was onabout The blue bolts, The Allen bolts require a 7mm bit
If you want to know what size they are measure the disc
240mm disc was s1 rs turbo and xr3i they also fit others in the range
260mm disc was s2 rs turbo
