Hello everyone,
Today in the workshop at College I eventually got the Pajero running after 2 years and the engine idles fine and starts ok however when I went to rev it the engine speed only increased by about 700 rpm and then when I took my foot off the throttle the engine stalled. I'm thinking there might be something wrong with the fuel delivery however I'm unsure. Is there anything else that could be wrong?
Cheers,
Conor

Is it the 2.8 Diesel? Probably diesel pump seals.
If you can keep cranking it, it will eventually start again.

Get on the Pajero Facebook page. It's a common fault you're describing but I can't remember the solution!

Start with the easy stuff, new fuel fiter and check for air ingress in the pipes to the pump, is there a hand primer? try isolating it incase the diaphram has rotted through standing for so long.

Hi guys back with another problem. Went to see if the Pajero would start and I tried to turn off the immobiliser and it's not turning off. I think there's a bit missing from the switch but I'm unsure. What other problems could there be?
