For some reason, information for Mercedes online is so conflicting!!! I'm running a w-reg c230 Kompressor in factory Manual as a drifter. 5speed manual, running numerous Mods and rollcage etc etc. So looking at different Rear differential options. The car is currently running a welded Diff and I'm trying to find out what ratio it is, and what other options are there for going smaller or larger... Here's the car: image hosting over 10mb

C230K manual 3.47 , C180 used a 3.64 and 3.91. Higher ratios were 3.07 & 2.88 - all from memory plus there were a few different ratios for the diesel W202's. There may have been a 3.67 also. All the diffs have the ratios stamped on the back lower part of the housing. You can easily see it if you climb under the back of the car and give it clean with a wire brush. Sorry, I can't be more specific.
If I find some more info tomorrow I'll post it up.

I see you are running a larger I.C., what other engine mods have you got?

Yo, So I'm running a 72mm pulley, FMIC full exhaust, decay system.m, CG 5paddle custom clutch. 6x point cage with door bars, cheap cone filter. Loads of weight loss and trial and error to figure out what manages to work. I've a stainless manifold I'm yet to fit and a few other bits but looking at the gearing and diff ratios.. 1-2nd seem really short and 3rd seems super long.. so aiming to move from skidding from 2nd to 3rd and want to move the ratios to suit that or bring in a longer ratio for higher wheel speeds in 2nd Any ideas where I can find concrete info? I will look at the diff later see if I can see a ratio on there
