my neighbour has an astra 1.6/71 hp from 1997. now he has lost his keys and -of course-the car hast this immobilizer chip in the key. any solution to fire this thing up ? i have another key and lock, but it won`t start. is there any easy way to get rid of the immobilizer? if you like also as PM!

Unless he has the Vauxhall CarPass in his service wallet, you'll need a new key, transponder (around the barrel), and a door locks. Can't remember if they are linked directly to the ECU or not, but a full second hand set of all the above can be had for £50 or so.
If he has the car pass, hell need to take that and his logbook to a Vauxhall dealer, and they'll order a key.

Not the best place to ask for advice either, publically putting up how to bypass an immobiliser aint gonna happen LOL

^^^^^ I'll be surprised if by telling someone they need a new transponder ,ecu and transponder ring to work around the immobiliser that it will spawn a waft of thieves to go on an astra robbing spree
You can't even give those cars away fad lol

ive seen keys programmed with vauxhall tech2 (OBD device) still not DIY-a-ble unless you have one lol
