Great to see, I've seen a few of the owners cars (probably including the Delage many years ago), & they are amazing. Even finding someone to cast the iron block from their 'printed' sand mold sounds amazing, I heard they still made one, cut it up to check things & decided to enlarge waterways for No.2. Reminds me of a new Lancia Lambda engine block machined from billet alloy by another club member.

I know Jay Leno has his own huge 3D printer to prototype parts for his car collection. Afterwards he puts the design through his 3-axis CNC to remake it. He kept a lot of his cars running via this method.

Makes me wonder if Pur-Sang could have helped them out considering the amount of things they create from scratch.

I don't think it's quite as 'world first' as they make out but it's certainly good to see how things are quickly progressing. Will be as widespread and affordable as later cutting and cnc soon i hope.

Isn't a 3D sand printer just called a bucket? I 3D print loads of castles in sand when I'm on holiday.

There's a guy over here that builds and sells audi sport quattro replica's. He has build some really nice stuff.
For a pike's peak replica they scanned a cast iron 5 cilinder engine block and had that CNC milled from billet aluminium. Quite impressive to see. I bet the invoice was impressive too...
