Needed to grab some bits and pieces - spotted a couple of good complete cars - Before they get stacked, they try and sell them complete. 1. Suzuki Carry 1.3 - Needs ignition barrel and has no keys, otherwise solid. £250 MR2 - Complete - Rear arches gone both sides on the rear. Loads of spares - Unknown £££ MX5 Complete - Breaking for parts

Carry looks a good option for Prozac style tongue in cheek loving.
I think it is worthy.

I never get bored of looking at scrapyard pics. Part of me feels sad, the other bit wants to rescue some diamonds in the rough!

Such a crazy concept of a vehicle that was surprisingly popular - That one style was a Bedford Rascal, a vauxhall something, honda acti-van, and some others.....

MOT history is interesting. Suzuki was an MOT fail in 2009 on emissions but MX5 passed it's last MOT in 2014 with no advisories and previous ones are fairly trivial.

They seem to get a few vehicles impounded by the council for road tax offences - The MX5 was untaxed in Gravesham parked up for a few months. Gets lifted, impounded, and council applys for ownership if unclaimed. Once they get ownership - it has no keys - no documentation for the next owner - easiest thing for them to do is to scrap it. Sad but true.
There were at least 5 cars there with the notice on the windshield - all for road tax expiry. Didn't check everything - was hunting a decent headlining to cutout some new doorcards and found the perfect donor really quickly.

I know someone who had one of those little vans, he welded up the diff and took off the ARB and it would do the most amazing donuts.

The Carry van ! I know where that was parked, & I was going to knock & ask whether they would have been interested in selling it. I was only stalled in my plans, due to having nowhere to put it. Blast !! It'll be grabbed by somebody else -or gone to the crusher before I can do anything with it. Foiled in my plans again !!

Guess one needs to respond instantly. Speedo still shows mileage from last MOT. And it is in great condition. I was looking for some small bits for the Berlingo, and a towbar. They have a towbar, but want £50 for it, which is more than I want to spend. Can get them on ebay for not a lot more.
