So '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Diesel. Immobiliser problem. Fob is intermittent, locks every time but doesn't always unlock. Can't find anyone with a DRB3 tool to code a new fob. Auto locksmiths can't do the job despite claims to the contrary. I have removed the May & Scofield UK market alarm but cannot find a way of making the immobiliser behave without the fob.
Obviously don't want a "How to steal a Jeep worth FA" thread for crimms and would-be fother muckers to read but if anyone has got by the same issue as us I would appreciate some advice via pm.
I'm asking:
A way of coding a new fob, or to borrow a DRB3
Or
A way of bypassing the immobiliser
I've already exhausted Google. Already exhausted contacts. Already hit dead ends with dealerships etc.
I don't think you can just force the fuel pump live. The immobiliser and ecu are a pair and codependent. From what I gather the ecu needs to get the vin from the immob within a certain timeframe otherwise it shuts off. The fobs work on a rolling code which makes life harder.
Can anyone help?
