1993 Mercedes W124 wagon - MERCEDES ENTHUSIAST MAG FEATURE

I realised i don't have a build thread for this so thought i best make one.

I bought the wagon already lowered on RH ZW1 17s but wasn't too fussed on them.



So thought i buy some 18 monoblocks:




but the tyres were too big being 40s so thought i'd try and find some 17 monoblocks and these came up for the right money (thinking i would change the colour):



I tried them but thought they were a little small and didnt like the colour:







So i decided to take the 18" split brabus monoblock IIs off my w140 (i want to go back to 19s on that) and dropped the tyre size from 40 profile to 35s







Ive got two lower panels being painted at the moment and a tow eye cover so the body will be very nice.

I also decided to remove all the grey 7 seats and trims and replace the lot with black. Unfortuneately an alsasian seemed to live in the back but the detailer has sorted that out too:








I'm guna keep an eye out for black leather (7 seats) and will probably fit amg side skirts and rear bumper with a lorinsor front bumper and probably keep it all two tone. Maybe put it on air at some point. Ive also been offered a 3.0 engine, box and loom so that will help the performance.

The orange mono's looked good too imo, the old shape Mercs are streets ahead of the new boring wobbly looking monstrosities that are everywhere now.

Showed at ultimate stance last weekend on the pink wheel-whores carpet.

Had some paint done on the roof to get rid of the laquer peel, had all the grey painted and a zender front bumper added.













Might fit some AMG skirts and rear bumper next - still looking for black facelift manual leather seats

deanflowers There's a Karo interior on the dutch version of the bay of E
It's not leather , but it would fit the nice white and grey on your wagon.

Hi i removed a full grey cloth interior to change to black. Really want black leather now though

I still have the grey and couldnt sell it on ebay uk for 99p

Swapped the interior to black leather and fitted a retro AMG wheel.

Car is in the paint shop for players classic having AMG skirts and rear bumper fitted

Looks great, I always prefer the pre-facelift front end, looks like a proper merc. The Brabus 3 spokes make it.

I was thinking a similar thing. I do like my creature comforts for a daily however . Also, I prefer having the car back. It's still in for bodywork.

I must say, this car looks lovely! May I ask where you got the bumpers from and how much they were? That is quite a transformation.

I do too. I prefer the earlier steering wheel too.

That said, I've come to like the post-facelift end. Mine was bought as it was the right car at the right time, albeit it was not obvious.

The front bumper was a used genuine zender item i got off mercedes w124 enthusiasts facebook page and cost me £450 the sides and rear are replica amg style ones off samuel cole at Classique autowerks - best ask him for a price on them directly as i had a good deal.
