I've just come back from England and said I post this up here on behalf of a friend who's had it parked round the back of his place since 'the rave years' as he put it. It was his sister's transport to various parties in the mid nineties when she was a 'cheesy quaver'. It's on an 'L' reg ( '74?) and the state of it is sorry but I think it still has some parts to give up. The fibreglass high-top could be of use to someone? I think it's what's holding the thing together actually! I don't believe it can be saved whole unless you're a total masochist - it's just too far gone - but the brightwork is still good, glass, some panels etc. It's a giveaway but you've got to get it out of there. It might fall apart when it's pulled out but maybe someone is interested? It's in the Milton Keynes area and will need some persuasion to remove from its resting place. Would have been a nice bus... once! Please PM me if you're feeling Dodgy. P.S Someone in a Fiesta was honking and waving enthusiastically at us on the A43 near Corby en route to N'hampton last week. Possibly a fan of old Landcruisers but maybe someone from here I thought? Hello if that was you!

Hmm wilsden depot railway sticker... random! That's well observed. I had no idea what it meant - I thought it referred to the manufacturer of the high top - 'Macton' as is written there, or something? I've never seen such a high top on a Commer/Dodge before so that's immediately what I thought could be worth salvaging, especially after having seen some of these vans rotting out through the guttering. There's a badge on the front grill from a traction engine meeting in 1974 so maybe the original owner was a transport enthusiast?

I am sorely tempted by this, but might struggle to collect it soon. Do you have a deadline to get it moved? Or could it wait for a couple of weeks?

Learned something new with this one, I was under the impression the Dodge versions all had the plastic facelift and have now learned that's not the case. That makes this quite an early Dodge version. If the gutters are good it's probably worth saving as it could have saved the floors and chassis from the worst damage.

PMs have been replied to! The condition of the old Dodge is not clearly seen in these pictures which I took on my phone in the midday sun - hence poor quality. It's a real rust bucket - the doors are about to drop off from the corroded hinges and the jungle is growing through the floor.
Really is a parts donor as I don't believe these vans are yet in the VW split nutter category where people are prepared to restore from a pile of rusty nuts! Maybe I'm wrong? I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of it being dragged out of there.
