Well, not really but you get the idea. Mine arrived by post today and I waited a whole nanosecond to relieve the envelope from it's weighty burden. The anticipation was rewarded with a packed magazine somewhat reminiscent of days of old before it got diluted by things that didn't interest me. Seeing Henry Hirise on the cover and then 8 pages of clean editorial was splendid. The writing is typically easy to read and lighthearted as of old. Whilst I can't claim to have devoured it, preferring to savour each article in a vain attempt to make it last the month until the next issue, what I have read is encouraging. Dave (the editor) should be congratulated on piecing together a good first issue, albeit with some rather sterling help. The names should be familiar to most, there's a certain pedigree amongst them.
Will I get issue 2? Yes. I think I will. Well done to all concerned.

I was reserving judgment till I had seen it as I had seen some anti posts on Facebook It's a hard time to release or re-release a magazine due to the Internet and costs of the mag its self no one really buys them (me included) But I can see what "Dave" is trying to do with this magazine and I think it could work Do I like it and would I buy it ? Yes I did and I recon I will be buying it again But I am bias as my Volvo was in it 👍

I was reserving judgement until I saw the magazine, read it the first day cover to cover, perfect balance of stuff for me. If they keep this up it looks like it has a good future. Magazine will be available in the Retro Rides Store this evening

The real test will be to see whether the value of Kia Rio estates goes up.

The real test will be to see whether the value of Kia Rio estates goes up. Possibly the most abysmal car I've ever owned. Will have to see if somebody has made a cool one when I find a copy of the Mag.

Just got my copy. Had a quick flick through and it looks good. All the old favourites are in there with a decent amount of feature cars to.

Street Machine good too!

Ive just ordered mine too. Yesterday a slightly well used May 1979 edition of Street Machine popped through my letterbox after a bit of a search for a copy. Its a wonderful piece of history yet some of the cars within would still be relevant and still turn heads now. It was wonderfully written, it made you feel that you were integral to the whole scene, even if you didnt have a cool car and were only 14 at the time. I'm truly looking forward to the 1st of the new. I'm hoping its going to be like before not just about cars but about 'us' and our passion for the modified car. They used to write as if they were having a chat and a pint with you in the local. Good times again, hopefully.

Just read my copy cover to cover in about an hour, I thought it was pretty good, like the old favourites like small talk, and motorvation, I used to love Steve Kirks drawings I wonder where he is now. Good features and good articles. I'll be buying myself the next one.
