Had the misfortune of watching it the other day. What a load of toss that was! Why spend money on a carbon fibre bonnet to save a few grammes only to load the car full of stereo gear? Duuuh. And it's not "Nos", it's Nitrous. NOS is a brand name. Retards. It stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems and is related to Holley. Do they watch Trisha on their Phillips? No, it's a TV. Do they surf the web for overpriced chav junk on their Dell? No, they do it on their computer. And how many gears do their cars have? And how many changes do they make in a drag race?? I counted 34 (both up and down the gears ) Tragic film. As if the first one wasn't sad enough, they had to make another. Made me laugh though!

Fortunately, I haven't had the priviledge of seeing the second film, but why did they have to trash the only decent car in the first film? There were so may other far more deserving candidates ;D

I'm convinced that the makers aren't fans of the import scene either, the cars are way over the top and they know it. Funny how, in both films it's American Muscle cars that are the real heroes. As entertainment they're OK IMO.

I thought the first was quite a good film. Plently of other wildly inaccurate films get uber cool kudos car chase status. I mean look at Bullit... a Mustang catching a Charger on the open road?

I wanna know what kind of curse word would spend all that money doing up a car (albeit with plastic curse word), then be willing to jump it over a bridge and near on totally wreck it Nice work genius!

Yeah I thought the first film was enjoyable too - good cheesey fun, but the second film was just plain naff. I like how during the races/car chases, the heros suddenly realise they've still got an inch or so left of travel on the accelerator (gas ;D) Pedal - like in a race situation your foot wouldn't automatically be slammed against the floorboards anyway I seem to remember coming back from seeing the original Fast And The Furious at the cinema in my mate's Nissan 300ZX - A superb J RWD sports car in the best 'chest wig' stylee. And was cool driving back in it whilst on a 'high' after seeing the film

Bullitt's got some great little funny things about it too, how many times do they change gear too? ;D ;D And how many identical white Beetles are there parked facing upwards on that one hill? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sometimes it helps when a film is slated before you see it, they always seem better then. I read that TFATF was full of wild inaccuraces and lacking a plot, but when I actually watched it I was very pleasantly suprised. There are inaccuracies sure, but I can think of one car chase I've ever seen that hasn't got a hint of hollywood in it.
Plus if you watch after the credits you'll see the Dom character making his escape to Mexico in a Chevelle SS, proving that the makers understood that when your life depends on it you take the Pony car not the RiceRocket.
The 2nd one is how I expected the first, a glorified music video.

Also I don't buy into the whole 'It's not NOS thing' firstly the film is clearly sponsered to curse word by NOS themselves and in all fairness almost everybody calls it NOS. I can't really imagine the film with everyone saying Nitrous Injection instead of NOS.
Plus if you accept that and you fit nitrous, which I have done, you can take great pleasure of shouting (in your best Ja Rule voice) NOOOOOOOOSSSSSSS YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH when you use it.

N.O.S is one of those words like hoover and tannoy. Brand names that have become part of the english language. As for films like TFATF, I think its important to remember that they aint supposed to be true to life. No one would go watch em if they were.

Yeah, OK I concede that the film was sponsored by NOS, and they probably stipulated that they had to call it NOS all the way through the film. I guess what really annoys me is the Chavs that go on about "Nos" as if they know what they're talking about, when they've just watched TFATF too many times. I suppose I'm just gonna have to get used to the fact that people are going to call it NOS!

it's not "NOS" it's "NAAAAS". you need more of an american nasal twang i'll admit to finding the film quite enjoyable... yeah it's totally overdone but some of the cars obviously have a lot of work put in... well... you know, you gotta appreciate the effort! the scary thing about 2f2f is that most of the cars are actually people's own, they put notices on forums etc asking for pimped-up imports, so when you're saying "they're all totally overdone" people actually own them but the driving.... sheesh. a race is won or lost in the first few seconds, if i was racing a similar speed car i wouldn't 'suddenly' find a few more inches on the accelerator, nor would i drop it down from 4th to 3rd to get more speed.... hello!!! lower gear!!! unless you're driving like a grandma you ain't gonna get much faster by changing down! i might litter the road with bits of intercooler but that doesn't win races

2 fast 2 Furious is not a bad film just the cars are abit naff. Apart from the yanks.
The lads I work with are mad on the cars in the film. One of the guys with a 200SX is desperate to make his car a 2f2f replica.
But then each to there own and all that. I mean I'm into Imps and I'm restoring a green skip on wheels so I cant say anything ;D

Hi everyone
Funnily enough, as I was reading these postings there was a fool outside ateempting to do doughnuts in a clapped-out, chavved up grey AX GT four-door. I say attempt, as he wasn't able to successfully execute the move!
About an hour before he'd overtaken me (I was in the Cort at the time) doing a good 80/90mph.
All I can say is: if you're driving around Kidwelly, beware: this bloke's obviously been watching those films.
