I've notice this prominent clicking/snapping sound from the engine of my Sunny in the last few weeks and am worried I've done something to one of the pistions. Here's a vid,
It's not too noticeable in the video but it sounds like it's coming from the left hand side of the engine.
Can anyone tell what that is from the sound? Or suggest how to diagnose it?
Cheers!

I can hear that loud n clear.sounds like a spark plug loose or valves or tappets. Nice one - glad it's not just me imagining it. I'll check the sparkplugs first. Valve adjustment is something I wanted to have a go at - purely to feel more comfortable with these things - so that's kind of convenient. Cheers as always, boss!

doesn't sound like big ends to me, try simple things first. make sure nothing is loose or broken especially around belts and pulleys . then try disconnecting things like alternator, fans etc to see if you can rule them out

fad was bang on - ALL the sparkplugs had come loose. Just bracing the leads made the sound go away. So tightened them all up and the problem was sorted.
Also noticed the sparkplug recesses had become an insect graveyard for some reason.
