Calling all throwback automotive geeks - too many years spent leafing through car brochures back in the day - (insert decade of dark teenage years).
In response to jamesd1972 wheel trim identification thread, I am spurred on to recreate the fantastic 80s / 90s TV hit "You Bet!" Also known as ,,Wetten dass!'' in Germany at the same time. I'm probably more of the Matthew Kelly era than Bruce Forsyth and the format was dead by the time Darren Day came long - he's a master of bad timing.
There were a number of automotive challenges during the series, which included two odd Germans who could identify the make and model of a car by the noise the door shuts made and then another guy who could identify the car by its taillights. Facebook offers a number of these quizzes which Are the only thing I really like about the place, so here is the aim of the game.
Each entrant chooses an item of car body furniture, for example a taillight or bumper overrider. If you can identify the part, please answer and then post the next question. If you have an interesting lesser know factoid about the car then that's even more fun.
If this has been done before, or the thread instantly crashes to page 9 - I apologise for wasting your time.😀 I'm currently spending too much time commuting by train - so that's my excuse. Anyway - lets go...
