Hello. I'm getting bored with my car. Time for a change. I don't drive my cars as much as I used to because I have gone back to bikes again. For the last 3 years, Iv been driving a BMW 323ci.Its been nice but time to go. www.milanuncios.com/rover-de-segunda-mano/rover-623-si-241657872.htmThere is a Rover 623si Honda dohc black top engine 127000km Mint appeared I'm the local rag. Because its a Spainish motor no rust and it looks well looked after. Tempted . Should I? Anybody have or had one? Thanks

A very nice spec and condition for a second hand Spanish car! Plus a good price. If you're buying one, this is the one to go for!

Yes, rover 600s are properly comfy cars, sit easily at motorway speeds and drive well enough round town.
Whats not to love about curse word wood inside and little rubber mats built for the top of the dashboard.
However, electric windows fail, regularly, cv joints are clicky and the champagne gold interior is worthy of a crystal maze zone on its own!

Lovely spot Mijas, was there earlier this year!
Do it, looks very clean for a Spanish car, most older vehicles are wrecked!

I wrote a chapter about these in my book, explaining why they weren't as well made is it's sister, the Accord. I spent many happy days watching production line bodges at Cowley, and felt smug that I owned an Accord at the time. That was then. Now I get a throb on when I see a picture of a 620ti. Go for it.

Yes most definitely! I've had this 620ti for the last 2 years and it's an absolute blast to own and very good at mile munching when needed too!

Wow ! Right! Went to see it today. Dark Grey 1998 Not as mint as it looks in the pic. A few scuffs no dents tho but would be an easy fix. The owner told me it needs a front engine mount? Can you still get them? Fronts a bit eh soft? not too bad tho. Itv-Mot 3 months left Weeping oil from the rocker gasket. He told me he over filled oil by about 1/4 ltr? Usual roof Rover saggy roof lining. Leather dirty and a small repair needed to driver seat bolster Not too shabby speed wise and sounds like a sewing machine (Honda) Alloys no scuffs and good Michelin tyres. Forgot to check the leccy windows He said he won't lower the price. Ahem.... He will. I like it. The only thing that worries me is the availability of parts. Thanks for the feedback all Just got to get rid of the Bimmer now

The only thing that worries me is the availability of parts. I've not had much problem at all with parts availability. Rimmer Bros still have a good supply of parts although some trim is getting harder to find now. There's quite a lot of second hand parts on ebay though. I'm not too sure on engine related parts though as mine is the Rover engine and I haven't paid much attention to whats available for the Honda lump.

Had '94 1.4 ie Tipo a few years back, drove it from Staffordshire to the top of Scotland and back via Liverpool and it was absolutely faultless, great car, if a little underpowered, masses of room inside them though and very comfy. I only sold it because I got offered an Alfa 145.

Steering wheel is on the wrong side = Haggling point.
Wait...
Personally a Fiat Tipo looks better as a scale model than it does in real life. However, that is nice and tidy, looks as though it still has all it's corners on it and with a whack from the lowering stick and some nice rims could be a great little run around offering a sense of period motoring history.

I had a 1.4ie as a first car, it was a great car, different even in 2008, managed to get some 17" Alfa wheels on it, sold it when my Grandad offered me the Sierra I had bought previous but couldn't insure. Guy used it as a work horse, smashed the box and scrapped it. Was gutted when I saw it stacked, was a nice car.

i had one years ago, 90's 'G' reg, 1.6 petrol, always aspired to the 1.9 TD but never got round to it. from memory it did anything and everything thrown at it, regular trips M5 to Dartmouth. i 'think' the only major issue from that time, which never affected ours, was the single stalk which did the lights, wipers and everything else it seemed wasn't that reliable?
90's 'leccy, Italians......
sort of gave it away to parents after having a Uno Turbo, caught fire one day on their driveway mysteriously, as i said, 90's 'leccy, Italians.....
haven't seen one for years.
just checked something from the back of my mind, Wiki says galvanised panels?
