I'm looking for new tyres for my 80. It has the original 4 bolt wheels on. I've no idea on the size/width and depth tyres that are on there.
I'm looking for a a slightly shallower tyre to make it slightly lower.
Any recommendations?

Without a year, model and what is on there already it could be anyone's guess ; they made a few versions of the 80 over the years from the B1 in '71 to the B4 in the mid 90s.

look at the sidewalls for a size, or a sticker on the door.
or just bung your reg number into
mytyre.co.uk.
camskill.co.uk are good on prices too.
get as good as you can afford.

If I recall there on 195 60 15 tyres as standard, you can go up or down a tyre size safely on the original wheels, or buy a set of lowering suspension, have a look over on classic-audi forum or Facebook page.
