Hi all got a few more hours in this afternoon. Finished early though as its bloody freezing and now snowing! The drivers side rear cupboard is finished.I have extended it by 100 mm or so so it now finishes at the rear door the same as the other side. The drivers sliding seat rail is now finished and fitted as is the seat. The seat may have to come out again as its a bit tight on the runners but it may settle down once I have been underneath to tighten the runner bolts. Had a bit of a disaster though as I need to drop the spare wheel to get at the bolts and the mechanism for lowering the wheel has seized solid. Will have to have a look at it tomorrow. Hope to get the last window fitted tomorrow as it looks like a dry day. Cheers - mike

Yes, the carpet I use is 4 way stretch and its amazing what shapes you can cover with a bit of practice. Thanks for the offer of advice. cheers Sorry if that sounded cocky, I hasn't seen your comment saying you do lots of this!

Whether you believe you can, or you cannot, you're probably right.

Hi all struggled today as I'm feeling curse word. Got the sliding seat fitted for good plus I have also fitted the passenger rear seat belt using the factory mounts. Was a complete pain, I had to make the strap that goes between the mount and reel as it was missing. Its in now and works fine with the seat slid forwards. I also managed to refurbish and fit the under seat drawer and drawer front. Happy to say it now lines up correctly and slides in and out as it should. Not much left to do now,one window to fit, kitchen top to finally fit and gas and water to connect up plus some bits of lining and trim. I had hoped to have it finished in the month but have lost quite a bit of time due to poor weather. cheers - mike

Hi all got a few bits done today I trimmed around the window in the sliding door and repaired the handle as you could not open the door from the inside. Also did a bit more cleaning and trimming on the b posts. One of the issues that's not camper related is that the spare wheel cradle would not wind down. It looks to be the original tyre so has probably never been touched. I had to grind away the retainer at the wheel and they drop it down. With the weight of the wheel off the mechanism I was able to release and wind down the cable and lube everything up. I have had to repair the cradle for the wheel using a bolt and a bit of welding. First time I have used my welder in anger for a few years now. Anyways, I hope to have the upholstery finished tomorrow and mounted for good. Thats if I can get the sewing machine to play ball!! Cheers - mike

Hi all
Have had a steady morning on the camper.
I have re-fitted the spare wheel winch that I repaired yesterday and its working fine. What a stupid design.
I have also removed the drivers door mirror and ordered a new one as the electrically adjust didn't work and customers can be funny about odd things like that.
I have also taken a big gamble by fitting the last remaining window, the drivers side one. Its 2 degrees and snowing so I have plugged her into the mains and put a heater on full. Hopefully the adhesive will cure ok.
I have seen windscreen fitters fitting when its this cold with no issues so keeping my fingers crossed.
Cheers - mike

Hi all got lucky with fitting the last window in the snow as its turned out fine. I was worried that the bonding would not take due to the very low temps but its taken fine. The new mirror arrived on Weds so that's now fitted along with the drivers side graphics. I have finished the kitchen unit now. I was not happy with the fit between it and the area below the window so have added a raised section. I have also added a switch for the water pump and one for a light above the kitchen area as it was a bit dark. There's not a lot left to do now, final bits on the electrics, fit the gas pipe, fit the two last ceiling panels and a few bits on lining carpet. The only big job is to swop the rattly dmf which is planned for next Tues. Cheers - mike
