Can’t believe some people, ordered a bulb from flea bay and it has just arrived in an envelope. Why a so called professional company in England would think that this is a sufficient way to send a fragile glass item through the post is beyond me. Ps it wasn’t even in the little foam cover and the envelope was already ripped.

serves you right for buying gash blue bulbs lol.
but yes, that is rather a fail, get yourself a halfords trade card and bulbs are very cheap.

I was only talking to the postman yesterday about stuff like that. Quite how some people think its ok the post things packed like they do is beyond me.
In the last few weeks I have had 3 packages turn up that I have just shaken my head at.
First wasn't car related but funny. I bought my other half a rare tuskers elephant ornament from ebay. (she collects them) Its one of the collector series & the box would be nice but its so rare it didn't matter as long as it arrived. It arrived in two pot noodle containers taped together with a couple of plastic bags shoved inside & one wrapped around the ouside with a minimum amount of tape holding the paper with the address written on it that it was flapping about and nearly dropping off.
Next day a package containing 2 timer delay circuit boards. The boards were individually wrapped in static safe plastic bags that had been dropped into a normal envelope with no padding at all. The raised parts of the components on the boards had already made a break for freedom poking through the paper envelope. Needless to say neither of them worked when powered up to be tested.
Last one arrived in a royal mail plastic bag that said we are sorry your item had been damaged. What was in the bag? A very ripped and torn paper envelope with nothing in it at all. No items, paperwork or senders address.
After a few days the only thing that hadn't arrived were a few drill bits and taps I ordered from ebay (from a well known machine tool seller). I messaged the seller for them to say they had put the drill bits and taps loose in the envelope & sealed it with tape but they had posted 20 like that the same day and couldn't work out why so many people were complaining.

Hi, Who'd have thought some tools for cutting metal would have managed to work their way out of a paper envelope?

Wife bought a cup for her mum for Christmas from a well known high street store renowned for their Christmas ad's, turned up in several pieces in a jiffy bag...

Its funny, I buy stuff from all over the world, and it arrives safely, on time, and well packaged. I buy something from somewhere in the UK, and it usually arrives on time, but often the packaging leaves a lot to be desired! Oddly I find that private sellers put a bit of effort into the packaging, but business sellers, especially big sellers could do better!

I only sell a few bits on eBay but I am proud of my packaging. The item is wrapped in tissue paper before being bubble wrapped and then wrapped in brown paper if there's no box.
I do not understand why any seller, private or professional would pack something as badly as that bulb!

I work for a popular delivery firm, and the first task of the day is normally repacking really shoddilly packaged parcels. But then the driver gets accused of repairing it because he's thrown it around, it's not the case. Anyway have a picture of my dads best car.

Credit to the seller he’s just contacted me and said he will send me another but also stated that I am the first to complain and that he has sent 100s. I know what has happened, the postman has rammed it through my letterbox but if it was wrapped probably it would of been ok.

Ha ha, many years ago I also bought the complete friends dvd box from a private seller on ebay. It was very well packaged and arrived safely. I started to watch then one by one every night when I was eating my tea. Series one, two three and four, all good, series five, and six, pretty good too. Series seven, eight, nine, and ten all had commercial breaks and ads for other stuff on CBS. Fox, and other channels. Of course by then I had owned it for several months so it was too late to complain... Oh how we laughed!

Bought a set of OEM Xenon headlights for my parents Rover 75 a\ couple of weeks ago. Was on holidays last week and collected it at the post office. Cue a pair of delicate headlamps in a box for a hoover. WIth 7 out of the 8 mounting brackets in bits in the box. Surrounded by Christmas wrapping paper, and nothing else.
I just told him and he blames the post. The adjusters inside were all broken. I ended up taking the lenses off, plastic welding and glueing the adjusters back to health, and was able to patch the mounting brackets back together, took me about 4 hours. Just couldn't e bothered arguing with them. Turned out fine but I had to spend time at it myself when they should have arrived perfectly. I was well annoyed.
