Anyone fancy a modern, reliable do-everything wagon?
I've got this diesel Audi estate I've been dailying for a while but I miss driving something older and Japanese, especially as my CRX is back in paint and will be for some time.
So what am I putting up for swaps?
It's a late 2006 (56 plate) B7 Audi A4 Avant (estate) 2.0 TDI 170 S-line, 6 speed manual. Not trying to blow its own trumpet too hard but it really is the one everyone wants, in that it combines the S-line spec with the highest power 2 litre diesel engine and the manual gearbox in an estate in a fantastic colour - gun metal grey.
I came upon it quite by accident. It had been my managers car for years and he decided to sell it as he was emigrating, he mentioned it to me and I bought it immediately after a test drive. It pulls with as much if not more gusto than any sports car I've ever driven. It has been remapped and had the EGR bypassed as well as a dummy DPF fitted, so it now runs around 210 brake and there wont be any issues with blocked DPF / EGR systems.
No warning lights on the dash and it has never had any problems with the emissions test for the MOT.
Its been well optioned with dual zone digital climate, cruise control, rear parking sensors, Bose audio with optioned factory Sub hidden in the boot, factory 18" wheels just fitted with Toyo Proxes tyres all round, load cover with integrated dog guard (but its never had animals in it) Westfalia detachable / hidden tow bar
I've recently (less than 1k miles ago) given it a full major service costing around £500 - this included Cambelt / tensioner / waterpump as well as aux belt and tensioner / idler pulley and an oil and filter change with correct fully synthetic oil. It has also had most of the front suspension arms and drop links changed and those that weren't changed are included. Mileage is at 179k, around average for one of these but maintenance has been meticulous and has all been recorded.
It looks fantastic outside and in, the only point of not are a couple of stone chips to the bonnet and a ding in the drivers wing which has just broken the paint (visible in second image.)
It really is a 'do everything' sort of car, I just have a massive urge to get something Japanese. I've been looking at everything from Starlet GT Turbos and Mitsubishi VR4s to Celica GT4s and Isuzu Piazzas! All of these sort of things tickle my fancy, it's worth giving me a shout about anything really, the worst I can do is say no thank you. I don't mind putting up some extra cash for the right car and I'd also potentially take a lesser car and some cash for mine.
I can take pictures of anything and everything, it has nothing to hide. Message me on here or txt my mobile and I'll call you back when I'm not in work - 07838906762
I'm based in Grimsby, North East Lincs but I'm often around RAF Coningsby, Horncastle etc
Cheers,
Andy
