Well i'm after some knowledge to be imparted to myself ;D
Some of you guys are very clever when it comes to building cool things, however I am not! But I want to learn by doing so I'm considering supercharging my modern.
What can you tell me about charging a none charged car?
I was planning on using an Eaton M40 off a Mini Cooper S. Lower the compression ratio buy using either 2 headgaskets and stronger head bolts (if this is possible} or a spacer plate or extra thick head gasket.
The charger will need to be powered from the crank which maybe another problem. How? Simply use an existing pulley? Can another pulley be attatched?
Then it'll hopefull flow into my existing throttle body. Will I need an Intercooler? I'm not wanting massive boost (aiming for Circa 5-6PSI)
How about fueling issues? Bigger injectors? How will the engine cope? New ECU?
Any other hints, tips, links and advice will be marvelous. If you think I'm an idiot and don't know what I'm on about tell me ;D
