Ok- this is going to be a departure from the "chop & plop" cut up a Durango and weld something on top build.
GOOD! Even I'm kinda bored with those. I mean- they're cool, fun, blah blah blah.
Almost 2 years on, they're not that different or exciting anymore. I still need to finish the one I'm currently on. It needs cooling, interior, bed floor, not much.
THIS ONE, however- is completely different.
A buddy of mine, has had HIS 1950 Studebaker for about a year. He wanted to own something like what I build- but he said, "No- I want ALL NEW Stuff".
After many months of design, scheduling and waiting, the bespoke chassis was done, the suspension completed and the brakes were on it. They bolted the 1950 body down to the Coyote Ready, Fat Man Fabrications brand chassis. They did a bang up job. AMAZING work. Everything is so nice, it's insane.
Not quite what I'm used to, and beyond my pay grade & skill level this chassis- but the rest of this build? I got that. I got it handled.
Watch this one unfold!

It's not my work! This is what arrived! I'll do a bunch of Yank blabbering about the engine and how it sounds when the engine arrives and I get it running.
I'm humbled to have the chance to build something like this, it's SO cool! Someday I'll get to keep something I build, this one is more of a toy model kit that I get to assemble. The frame & chassis work, Stellar!

Side by side pic, GREAT IDEA! I will have to wait to get the Hemi one back home, it's at my work tucked away for a bit. I'll do it though!

Would be a shame if those wheels somehow ended up on the other Stude Tiny bit jealous that you're the custodian of two funky Stude trucks now.

They're all out of order, but hey... I had to repair the tailgate and make it rusty. Then I patched the fuel filler hole and rusted that. Then I made the gauges fit. Yay. It was good day.

aside from the nifty hardware and accoutrement, what are the major differences between the original chassis and the Coyote Ready Fat Man Fabrications chassis master 3000 turbo wicked sticks extreme radical version ?
i can see obviously coilovers and trailing arm rear.

This chassis would feel right at home, underneath an Autocross racer like a chevelle or a mustang- it's a street racing car wearing a pickup truck.
New and improved with Turbo wicked sticks radical extreme!! hahaha
I hear that done in an announcer's booming voice like the one doing a promo spot for a huge drag race or truck pull--
"Monster Truck Draaaaaggg Racing!!! SEATS TWENTY BUCKS but YOU'LL ONLY NEED THE EEEDGE!!!" haha
