Help required! I have the seats below for my Midas (which is itself a tiny and very low car). With standard runners underneath my head touches the roof. I am only 5ft 8 1/2". I think I need different seats. Can someone recommend seats with skinny squabs that will fit easily and won't break the bank. When I bought the car the original seats (Huntmasters) were rotten - the runners had disintegrated and the cloth and foam was totally sodden. (Not surprising as the car had sat in someone's garden for a decade with much water ingress). They went in the bin as they were past saving (pic below).

Does it have seat rails? , I had to remove these on my 911 as I'm 6ft 4 and don't fit...

quite a lot of seats have excess framework that can be trimmed away from the bottom. I fitted rs turbo recaros in my 924 this way. what about mx5 or early impreza seats?

Do you really like the seats you've got?
Could a car trimmer remove some foam and make good? My dad had foam removed from the seats on a couple of his bikes because he's on the short side, and they made it look like it hadn't even been done - I wonder if similar could be done to your current seats.
Because they're pratty rad if you ask me.

I may have access to a set of MX-5 Mk1 seats but they're very tight height-wise. Apparently there's a mod that can be done where the seat foam is trimmed, but I really don't want to have to start faffing about modifying stuff anymore on this car - I just want it to fit straight in! The Impreza seats are too wide. Imagine a Mini with less width and no headroom.
