You have a beautiful Escort,congrats!!
And what a show!! Awesome location, weather, but the cars!!!!!!! It's been years since i've seen a Fiat Ritmo for instance. A woman i knew (she's deceased now)had one back in the day. Rotted further after every wash, but man,i would LOVE to sit in one these days.
So many "forgotten", "ordinary" cars, that have sooo much appeal now!
Thanks for posting!!!!!!!

Not at all surprised to see another snapshot of the Invacar of Hubnut fame that drove all the way from Wales to be there. Perplexed about the attendance of the Ferrari, maybe they were lost.

Not at all surprised to see another snapshot of the Invacar of Hubnut fame that drove all the way from Wales to be there. Perplexed about the attendance of the Ferrari, maybe they were lost. Invacar had me grinning too. What I love about a show like this is seeing a Ferrari alongside the Invacar. These non brand, non clique type shows really are great as they do cater for the real petrolhead. ....................................................................................................... Your Escort looks lovely, love the downloaded music files in the case, in the flesh 😁 And getting Ed China to bend over forward is quite an honour too. Makes it clear that these cars still have value. Thanks for posting up and making me want a random retro like a Bluebird or a Mazda, Corolla in poverty spec. Great post.

I'd have loved to have gone to this, but the website put me off - I didn't want to book in advance and it wasn't clear if you would just be in general parking if you turned up in something suitable. Awesome selection of cars there though, love the Escort and the Chrysler

I'd hardly call a Honda S800 unexceptional.

It was a fantastic show! i'd definitely go again and recommend going! Lots of forgotten cars and cars i'd never had t the chance to see. A lot of people had little personal touches to their Cars which is what this kind of classic car ownership is about to me. Thanks for the comments on the Escort. Its really great to see so many people enjoy it as much as i do. Cheers on the cassettes! i've always been obsessed with them. This model escort and a lot of that music is they way i grew up. Ed just so happened to bend down for an offical photo with it so i thought i best get one myself in case that never sees the light of day haha. such a nice bloke! had a great chat with him later. I'm thinking beige Montego for my next car after yesterday Yeah i was a bit confused at first. In the end I registered for both tickets and did a write up to enter my car... it was happy surprise when it was picked!

That DAF brings back memories. A mate had one with the CVT in it and it was such a weird experience. Be sure to update your RRRR.

Probably the best static show I've been to - I normally hate them!
I had concerns over how well the engine swap in the Herald would be received but everyone seemed incredibly friendly. I was also worried I'd annoyed the couple in the Volvo Amazon as we drove in because I was having to go so slow over the bumps. When they parked next to me she had a huge grin on her face.
But... oh boy were those bumps evil. Even the roads going in made my exhaust spark on the ground!
The music really made the difference as well. The whole day was incredibly relaxed.
