About a month ago I decided I didn't have enough rust in the fleet, so I started looking for an MG Midget project. One popped up less than 10 miles away, and once a price had been agreed (before a viewing even took place), I was off to have a look at the car.
First impressions weren't good, with many areas showing rust, but a deposit was paid, as at £750 for a rare round wheel arch model, even the bits were worth more.
Maria the Midget might look terrible, but the bodges are old, and thus easy to spot. Of the Midgets I had seen, many were tarted up so much, it was hard to spot where the bodges were.
The purchase price included delivery, so a large amount of used car parts were taken to the dump to make room. Thankfully nothing of importance.
