Must go by 23/09/2018, IF NOT SOLD BY THEN I WILL BE KEEPING IT !
For sale is my Mk2 Scirocco GT2. I have had this car since the beginning of August and only selling as I won't have anywhere to store it and I don't want to keep too many cars on the road. I have been using this car daily in recent weeks completing 3000 miles and 3 trips to and from Cornwall in the last 3 weeks. It has done this effortlessly and has been a pleasure. I am moving to Cornwall the Friday of 28th September and would like it gone this weekend. It is a great car, not perfect but you will enjoy it. The car is actually quite good on fuel and cost me less to get to Cornwall than in my old Audi PD 130 which I just sold.
Make: VW
Model: Scirocco GT2 1993
Mileage: 145k - Will be close to 148k before sale
MOT: 08/01/2019 - No advisories on the last MOT
V5 Present: Yes
Owner: Me
Price £1500 ono
Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Contact: 07456500887
The info:
Body:
The body is generally good. The paint shines and looks great but there are some dings in some places. The car seems to be pretty much rust free and being de-kitted it makes it much easier to see the condition. The kit was removed for the more classic look, I do have the kit which can be included but it needs a respray.
Worst bits on the body are the NS front arch which has some minor dents, The bonnet has rubbish paint and the tiny rust patch by the VW badge on the tailgate.
Interior:
The interior is in great condition. The seats are very clean, supportive and comfy. The previous owners dog ripped part of the drivers seat at the rear which can be seen in the pics. This would be easy to fix and would be worth doing as its the only defect.
The carpets, headlining and dash are all clean and together. The dash clocks are slightly faulty with the clock digi display broken. This car does not benefit from MFA so the digi section only shows time.
Running gear:
The car is running standard underneath so is either a drive and enjoy or a great base to modify. It will need the tracking and alignment sorting. I tested my coilovers on the front which set the alignment out of sync. Easy and quick but needs doing.
Engine:
The engine is standard and running great. In the time i have had the car I have been stuck in multiple traffic jams with no issues. The car has dealt with motorways etc with ease and was a pleasure to drive. It benefits from a stainless exhaust from the down-pipe backwards. This is not loud but gives a lovely tone with some throttle.
Electrics:
Being old it has little chance of electrical issues as there aren't any like modern cars. The electric windows both work perfectly and has been a pleasure not to use winders. The usual such as lights are all working.
Spares:
Also included in the sale are a bunch of spares from my previous scirocco which will come in handy. These include:
Rust free tailgate - Needs spraying green
Clocks
Injection loom
Injection fuel tank
Rear door cards
Rear bumper
Spare front lights - In pieces
Wide front grill
Full excellent condition carpet
Random switches
Just the spares are worth a few £'s on their own but all must go with the move.
Overall:
The car is a great motor with lots of potential. You could daily this without a worry as I have or turn it into a simple project with some nice wheels and suspension.
The car is located in Coventry, West Midlands. I am only available on weekends due to living in Cornwall.
Any questions let me know.
