Offered for sale is my Peugeot 205 GTi, this has been with me for almost 5 years now, I originally saved it from a drive way where it had spent some time. I haven't really done too much to the body of the car so it's somewhat scruffy, really it could benefit from a respray, its a very solid example however, the problem areas on 205s haven't set in on this one as of yet, the boot floor is sound aside from a little surface spotting - it's been waxoyled in the past. Under the rear seats is good, no rust holes although one side will need looking at further down the road as there is a scab here. The front inner wings are good and solid, again, these were Waxoyled, the interior of the car is good, the carpet is lovely and red, I fitted another gear knob, it has the Clarion radio, the front seats are good enough, the drivers has been stitched (badly) and will require a professional bolster and stitch to make it proper again, the passenger side is pretty decent, the rear seats are near on as good as you'll get for 1992 leather, the under sides are some of the best I've seen too.
The car has the sunroof, which works and doesn't leak at all. The central locking works pretty much all the time (French electrics) the car is fitted with power steering from the factory as an option, which on a 1.6 is pretty darn rare, I've had quite a bit of engine work done to the top end, including a refurbished AFM, manifold, injectors, throttle body as well as service items, the car idles at 1000-1100 as it should from cold,
The car has had a rear beam before I owned it, the front suspension is adjustable and it has a strut brace, all the electrics work on the car (heated rear mirror, spotlights, reverse light, interior lighting, heater, dash etc)
MOT valid until next April, it's taxed and insured currently too, plenty of history and one key for locks, ignition, fuel cap (plip remote included but doesn't seem to talk to car anymore)
To summarise, this car is a good basis for a refresh or drive as is and sort it all out slowly - the Miami car is often quite desired and worth grabbing while the market has cooled down slightly at the moment, a nice head-turner that is only getting fewer as the years go on, I'll be sad to see it go.
Drop me a text on 07969679696 as I rarely get message notifications here.
