For us Midlandsers, a few here will be familiar with the long established Butty Run held at the Long Itch Diner in Long Itchington. To be honest I would be in for a bit of a surprise! Why? Firstly, even dickdasterdley came along to this! Another? After having people pay by cash for what seemed an eternity, Long Itch diner finally went to the 21st century by accepting card payments through iZettle. I'm sure that possibly also gave the advantage of not running out of change like they used to too!
The final one? It wasn't what you would call busy! Frequent visitors of the Butty Run will know how oversubscribed the venue can get! Maybe it was down to it being the finaly event of the year. Maybe it's also down to Caffeine and Machine opening up shop! Either way, it did mean the car park was a little less hectic for once! So, enough waffle, let's see some cars!

Yes, it was quiet enough for me to feel not quite-so-bad about driving in with the M3! It seemed however more and more people want to buy these now! I certainly got a warmer reception than I expected in addition to a few questions about them, even from the well established frequenters of the Butty Run! But, what! What's that Grey/blue thing in front of the M3?

OK, I'll give a clue.

That, my friends, is dickdasterdley's '61 Volvo Amazon 122S Twin Carb. It's a lovely thing and it could be yours! Call him, and that way I won't be even more skint and buy it that way! It's lovely!

Damn, there's still a Yank there! I do still hanker after a Mustang Coupe but I shouldn't! They're certainly not as dailyable as two of my cars, which IMHO is handy if you clout out the miles I do now.

I don't know why, it's not a pretty thing! But I do like it! The 16" wheels are not the purist, and certainly do divide opinion for many peopl!

A lovely 'Dart was present there too:

Will you check that interior out?
One thing to remember though, is this is a normal cafe. Non-car folk are here too. But at least the car park is more interesting:
