right.....the xr3 engine mk3 fiesta has been a pain. Loads of problems but I'm.here for a little bit of know how.
I'm running a bc gearbox from a xr2i (early, 91) it seems to be sh***ng it's self every 5 minutes. Eg.
First drive it's gaskets all leaked, so removed and rebuilt. Happy.
Second drive. Lost reverse and 5th....thats where I am know.
I want to keep the set up to run the box I.e drive shafts etc but need to know if any other better box will slot in.
Been told 1.8 diesel box from a mk3 fiesta diesel. But I need short ratio for acceleration rather than comfort or economy etc.
The cars only 110 bhp so not mad. Running standard shafts and updated brakes and lightend flywheel and all the other bits to shoe horn her in.
Struggling due to funds and children Hehe to price a realistic solution??
