For sale is my Astra SRi 2.0 8v. I bought this as a non-runner, some of you may recognise it from being on eBay a while back.
Whilst in my ownership, I have carried out the following work:
-Replaced the timing belt and water pump
-Replaced the ECU (original reason for non-start)
-Changed the aux belt
-Fitted new spark plugs, leads, rotor arm and distributor cap
-New air filter
-Oil and filter changed
-New fuel filter
-Replaced fuel pump, cleaned and under sealed under boot floor and tank
-Removed the rusty exhaust back box and replaced with a straight pipe with chrome tip (not loud, just a nice tone)
-Replaced the passenger front CV boot
-Swapped the wheels for some 15's I had off another Mk 3
The car has MOT until 17/10/2019, but will come with a new MOT for the asking price.
Before I bought it, it has had the sills and arches replaced, the job appears to have been done to a very high standard and there is almost no rust on the underside aside from a little surface rust.
The interior is in very good condition other than:
-The driver's seat (bolster wear badly repaired)
-The headlining (sags, someone has attempted a previous repair)
-The plastic trim on the sill by the rear doors is broken
-The plastic trim on the boot lip is broken
-The gear gaiter has the usual wear
-There is a hole in the dash by the fog light switches
The exterior is in very good condition other than:
-Stone chips on the front grille
-Front grille has a screw holding it on N/S/F
Under the bonnet/drivetrain is generally very good, however:
-Shock absorbers are weak
-Suspension bushes are weak and starting to perish
-Small knock on rear, probable shock absorber.
The car is a pleasure to drive and would require little work to make it an extremely good example of these rare cars.
There is a lot of service history with stamps at the following mileages.
