I'm putting together a Speeduino EFI and i'm now kind of thinking that I chose the wrong coil as i can't find a suitable connector. So can anybody help me find a connector for this coil VAG 021 905 105. VW VR6 5 pin rectangular. I thought it was one of these , but it turns out it isn't.

Assuming it's a Bosch part try cross referencing the part number, try googling.

Pretty sure it's 5 pin EV1 from memory {I used to work for Bosch Diagnostics a long time ago!}, try looking on a VAG website.

Not that one unfortunately. This is the problem i'm having stevo67 . If I had bought the later VAG version or even the Ford version it would have had the rounded plug, I need the rectangular one. I just can't find it anywhere. Worst case i'll just have to wire up spade connectors on to the terminals. Thanks for trying though.

Looks like a Packard timer? Common to the mk2 Golf era. And used on a breakout cable at the ECU of the 8v GTI Digifant.

Whether you believe you can, or you cannot, you're probably right.

I’d agree with it being the Packard variant bu5 I struggled to find anything but the 2 and 3 pin versions?

Rubjonny. But definitely the mk2 gti 8v has that type of connection as I mentioned above, in 5 pin.

Hard to tell, but I don't think it is. Packard timer seems like a good call but i can only find 2 or 3 way just like has been said. Could somebody ask on a VAG forum for me? I'm not a member of any of them.

I'm not a member of any of them. I already did, plus I had to effect a repair on one of the numerous GTIs I maintain, on the exact plug I'm suggesting, last weekend. DubShack (Brendon Moss) probably has loads.
