The water pump has seized on my Renault trafic camper, I can find a new pump, but not a gasket, so would it be possible to make one? if so what sort of material would I need for a water pump gasket?
Cheers!

Is the cardboard box the new water pump came in big enough to cut a gasket out of? I've often made gaskets out of anything that was handy.

Good quality paper or even a cereal box.

Whether you believe you can, or you cannot, you're probably right.

My dad taught me how to make gaskets when I was a boy Something I've never forgotten even though most the cars I own have either rubber O rings or just sealer instead of a gasket nowadays I do still get the opportunity to make the odd one through my job
