I have for sale my BMW E46 328i Coupe.
Purchased to tide me over whilst I changed the turbo on my 207, I intended to keep it after then, but I have decided it should go to an enthusiast who has time to use it.
Good Points
-86929 Miles
-2.8L M52TU Engine in good condition
-Manual Gearbox
-Nice Blue Metallic (no i cant remember the name)
-Sport Spoiler (I think it really suits the coupe body and i haven't seen another one for sale with it)
-Interior, beige leather, in good condition, rear seats look unused
-Electric adjustable seats
-good condition underneath, no rust of any sort that I can see.
Neutral Points
-Beige interior might not be for everyone
-Rear diff ratio of 2.93 is quite long, but does mean good MPG considering (i was getting 30+ driving to MK everyday)
-Radio is radio/cassette only, not even a cd changer (just a blank in the boot)
-MOT Due 20th of July - Should only need spring (mentioned below to pass)
Bad Points
-It has lived a London life before my ownership.
-Front bumper has clearly had some parking damage in its time, it doesn't sit quite right, and the external temp sensor wires are not attached anymore. This never seemed a problem except for the car telling you its -40°. It doesn't affect the climate control.
-Passenger side front wing has damage. Once again before my time of ownership. Looks like it would probably bang out.
-Radiator has sagged, which seems very common on E46's. There is a small weep from one end. It would use about 1L of water over the course of a few days. Yes I am sure its the radiator and not the head gasket, you can see the wet patch. These are only about £50 from most suppliers.
-A small patch of damage to the rear bumper, but not too bad if you aren't looking for it.
-It looks like one of the rear springs might have cracked, it sit slightly lower on one side, nothing that would affect its driving.
-No real service history from recent times, oil is good and it does not use any
-Passenger side wing mirror needs replacement, it fell off the car whilst I was exchanging, I left the guys house to find his dad attempting to refit it. It still functions as it should
I have fitted poly bushes on the front lower suspension arms, much improved steering feel and an easy job.
Price is set considering its engine size, mileage and the fact its manual, however I am open to offers.
