Hi all,
So there I was watching some of the Hoonigan coverage of Final Bout 3 (a drift event in the states) and kept seeing some seriously cool retros taking part in the background, so had to do some more investigating.
For those not familiar with Final Bout its meant to be going back to the more core 'showing off' element of drifting, so all cars have to be as low as possible and preferably fairly clean too. No missiles or shabby e46s here.
Luckily, theres a heavy media presence so finding photos isnt too tricky.
First find was a photographer on flickr named Centru They have a lot of nice photos and albums from various shows... check them out!
So, hows about a tidy looking Cressida, with 1UZ V8 power. Yeah, thats ticking boxes.

BEAMS Powered TA22 Celica anyone?

1UZ powered TA22 Celica anyone? (on throttle bodies!)

Theres also a BEAMS powered Corolla! No not an AE86 (Although there was a BEAMS powered AE86 there as well!)
Lots of video of this here...
You may have noticed by now, the vast majority of these belong to (team?) ShaDynasty.
Amazing stuff.
Although its quite hard to get too many technical details on some of the cars. Or so I thought! Turns out, some of the cars were featured on Hoonigans late last year, so I'm just going to link them here....
I recommend following ShaDynasty on instagram to see more cool stuff to do with these cars... like this!
So yeah, hope you like! Did I miss anything? There will be some more cool things at this event I'm sure, have a dig though some photos and see what you can find and report back I mean, there are tons of FC RX7s and other things that I kinda ignored because they are 'usual' drift cars.
