Selling on behalf of an old school friend Started out as Picadilly limited edition...had he known back then! Custom Red\White interior at some cost! Needs some TLC- but usable and clean. The driver door will be sorted before sold. Worst areas pictured, if more are needed let me know which areas please. Loads of paperwork\receipts as pictured. Over 2K spent on parts alone recently. I have tried to picture the areas that need attention rather than the shiny bits The car is sorn at the moment and MOT expired May 2018 60K miles REG is D742POV Any questions i will do my best to answer Ta Manny

Top money for a car thats no MOT and needs work. Yep - i totally agree, but as it is in these cases , owners look at the time and money they have spent and usually over value their own cars... Having said that he has had offers of 8K, which he turned down!...i probably would have taken the money...but its not my car...

Is that body filler smeared up the center console by the over spray pedals?

Is that body filler smeared up the center console by the over spray pedals? Think it might be for sale for a while. Worth about a quarter of the asking price at a push.

That does not look like ten fat ones worth of Mini to me. Even if it had a fresh MOT and was immaculate, I still cant see it. I really must be so out of touch.

I have told the owner that the max he could hope for is probably 5-6K on a nice sunny day...but he's sticking his own valuation

WOW...that is a nice example...so realistically what is his car worth?...i can pass him the comments and hopefully convince him... I think the issue is more it has been in his family for a fair few years and i believe handed down to him, but then i am not sure why he's selling it...the other issue is he's not interested in scouring the internet...which does not help me...

The work it needs (new scuttle and front end) is likely to unearth other bits which need replacing due to rust that are currently hidden. It’ll probably need a full respray as well.
I’d say you’re looking at around £2K max £2.5K depending on MOT and the quality of the floors/sills, I appreciate that it’s got a lot of aftermarket bits on but unfortunately they don’t add masses of value. Personalised Minis are harder to sell than standard ones.

I love Minis and owned one all my adult life, really hope this one finds a good home and is brought back to top condition. But as you know rust on a Mini is 10 times worse than it looks on the surface, once you start digging it gets a lot worse. I would strip it to a bare shell and get it dipped and start again to see the exact extent of the metal worm and that costs money. It has has had some nice bits fitted and had a lot of money spent on it but i'm afraid its not worth that kind of money now..but good luck with the sale.

Good day folks,
i have been yet again asked to relist this....! don't mind helping a friend etc, but getting them to listen to advice given ..my god!
Any way it's up for grabs at £5000 or best offer now , i have been informed some remedial work has been carried out addressed by the comments on this forum, but i have yet to receive the photos of exactly what, so will do my best to get some this week, light depending.
