Yeah an auto mini gearbox shares it's oil with the engine, like the manual box version. You could try changing the oil and filter and refill with 10w40 MA2 spec motorbike oil, it's designed for wet clutches. If that doesn't work, then ask for advice on here: autominiregister.proboards.com/ |

There is a place in Hornchurch (Near Romford) that has gearboxes on the shelf however they're not cheap.
Full flush first, I'm unsure if John (Guessworks) does anything with these but worth a try.
Failing that, manual subframe, clutch master, pedal box and slap a manual 1275 into it!

Mine did this, the clutch plates inside will be like burnt offerings.

Did quite a few of these years ago when I worked for a gearbox specialist. Running on the engine oil never did give them a long life span.
Not worth an oil change, as said most likely the friction plates are toast.
Engine and box out to do anything with it and a hydraulic puller is the only thing that will shift the torque converter.
