Up for sale is my 1998 BMW E36 323i Coupe
This has been my daily driver for the past 4 years covering ~60k in my ownership. LPG has begun to get abit flaky and i'm in need of a more practical car than a coupe so unfortunately it has to go.
Mileage is currently just short of 217k, car is on its 2nd engine after a heater hose burst on the motorway and cooked the original engine. Replacement engine was sourced from a low mileage auto coupe. 88k when fitted. Now approx 122k on that engine.
Shell is in pretty good shape considering the mileage, i've seen far worse on lower mile cars. The previous owner had arch repairs carried out which have been done to a high standard. Some bubbling is starting to come through now. Worst rust is all on removable panels. See images for detail.
The car is an SE model with sport bumpers front and rear.
16" Style 32 alloys with recent tyres fitted. (Avon ZV7s)
Fitted with a full 328i twin pipe exhaust system, cats still in place (scrap value on these cats alone is high at the moment!)
Engine replaced at 184K after a hose failure on the motorway led to overheating. As part of the replacement the following were also fitted.
Suspension was replaced 12months ago as original items were very worn. Following fitted -
Car comes with 2 keys, plus valet keys.
Thanks.

Bad Points
A fair list of bad points, but i'd rather be honest and disclose all. Unfortunately cars of this age and mileage are never going to be perfect as i'm sure you're aware.
Priced to sell at £995, plenty of rotten skid missiles for sale around FB for more than this.
Based in Bromsgrove, couple of minutes from J4 M5 or J1 M42.
Car is currently SORN in my garage.

Bad Points
- LPG system has been great for the most part, I've been covering up to 300miles per week in this car with similar running costs to a diesel. Unfortunately the gas system has developed an intermittent issue where it will cut back to petrol. It has good weeks and bad weeks, last week it was fine for example. I've had some work carried out on it replacing the reducer seals and diaphragms. New solenoids and filters. Improvements have been made but its still not right. LPG system best classed as spares/repairs. The car however runs fine on petrol.
- Cam cover gasket needs renewing, oil is dripping onto the 2nd manifold and burning off.
- Passenger door doesn't unlock from the fob.
- General wear and tear, external and inside as to be expected from the mileage.
- Suspect a small leak from the heater matrix, occasionally get a whiff of coolant from the vents. Not bad enough for wet carpets but needs disclosing.
- Rust scabs in places due to stone chips
- Passenger rear damper knocks, suspect poor quality pattern part.
