Putting my E240 (2.6 V6) up for sale as I’ve bought a new car which arrives on Sunday.
It’s a 2001 W210 Estate Avantgarde petrol automatic.
It’s done nearly 99,000. Has a fairly good service history.
As far as these go, it’s bloody good body wise. There are a few spots of rust but overall it’s really pretty decent.
The front near side wing has been replaced, it *appears* to be a genuine wing BUT, it’s starting to go near the front.
It’s going in for MoT tomorrow so will have 12 months. Tomorrow morning it’s having a new windscreen, as the old one was cracked. I’m paying, rather than insurance as it was pre-existing when I bought the car. It’s getting a proper blue tinted sun reflective jobby per factory which is costing a fair chunk of cash but I’m too bloody honest to claim, being the nerd of an accountant that I am.
Interior is pretty decent with no rips / burns.
I put a new genuine drivers side mirror glass in yesterday as the old one had delaminated.
It’s got what I describe as manually controlled dual zone air con. It’s gets cold properly, not the usual ‘needs regassing’ type.
It’s got the two rear facing seats in the boot.
The wheels have been fairly recently refurbed and are pretty presentable, it has recent Goodyear Efficient Grips on too.
I bought the car on here 2 months ago as a ‘stop gap’ so I could sell my M135i but still have transport. I’ve now bought a 740d M-Sport, so this is now surplus.
I’ve done 4,000 comfortable miles in it. Have averaged 31mpg.
It’s been faultless. I’ve fallen for it a bit but I have no use for it.
I’ve also just ordered the following from ECP, due to arrive in the next day or so.
10 Litres of Shell Helix 10w40 oil
Oil filter
Air filter
12 NGK plugs
Enough anti-freeze and brake fluid for a full change.
So that’ll be enough for a full service if the new owner can do it, or pay someone a couple of hours labour to do and supply the parts.
That’s £500 I’m spending on the screen, MoT and service kit over the last few days and tomorrow!
Not sure what else to add....ask any questions you like.
