Right, this is in my lockup 25 miles from my house so I have no pictures of it at my disposal but i should be getting down there in the next week or so.
Its a Silver Saab 9-5 Aero HOT saloon. This means 2.3 turbo petrol, 250 brake with a 5 speed manual.
Being the Aero model and I'm lead to believe, an ex-demonstrator, it has absolutely everything. So you have all the normal bit like electric windows / mirrors / digital dual climate etc but on top of that it has the big colour touch screen infotainment, electric heated leather in the front, heated leather in the rear and all sorts. Has a tow bar too.
Its on the correct slab sided Aero HOT 17" alloys. Tyres are average and mismatched but useable if memory serves.
Body is straight and tidy enough, the only rot being on the boot lid inner lip.
It has around 165k on it and the engine ran great when it was last on the road about 3.5 years ago. The reason for it being taken off the road was that my friend got exactly the same model but in the Estate body which was better for him hauling his bikes about. He gifted me this saloon in exchange for some spannering I did for him, I stored it in my lockup and I pretty much forgot about it.
It will need trailering away as it has a couple of bits missing that were pillaged for his estate. Nothing major: back half of the exhaust, the battery and some vac lines
I repeat - it will need to be trailered away.
Apart from some minor re commissioning such as flushing out the old fuel, I really can't see it needing much at all. Even the brakes don't look terrible as its been dry stored.
I really don't want to strip out for bits / part it out as its a good half an hour away from my house and I'm not running over to whip bits off for a tenner sale here and there.
Ideally I'd like it gone in the next few weeks and I'd like £200 for it.
Is that about fair?
If anyone knows of anyone after a Swedish missile please let them know.
Also if there are any more appropriate avenue to sell it, I'm all ears.
Cheers,
Andy
PS - I'm located in Grimsby and the Saab is near Horncastle, Lincolnshire.
