These are possibly some of the easiest yet the most unsatisfying things to record! But there is some magic about them in some cases! So here is a challenge for all of you. For those who have a video (or want to make a video) of the sound of their car, be it an idling sound, a video about the car or a driveby or even a trackday, put the video up here and enjoy! For those with quite a few videos, I have the suggestion of putting up one car a day on this thread, so as to keep the momentum going. So, what do you folks have? . Mods, if required, feel free to put this in the videos section if it is felt more suited to there.

The above is not helping my desire to not own an Alfa Spider!

My current, running, cars don't sound that great, so here's a vid from my old Chaser after I fitted an exhaust which wasn't stupidly loud. 2 liter straight 6 sounded great!

An old video of my plastic Vauxhal: induction kit and a Larini backbox. Bought a full decat-pipe afterwards but still haven't installed it as it's already one of the louder exhausts for the VX and the decat will no doubt make it 100% ASBO

Whilst the exhaust makes a nice noise on my Mini it’s the induction you hear when you’re driving

Well, we've had some good sounds here! We've had a sample of the Matt Munro from vitesseefi to thechadzone and jamesd1972 not helping anyone's lust for an old school twin cammed Alfa. Damn, I didn't realise Granada looking Falcons could have V8s or that I was a fool for missing out on the VX220 boat! My old Alfa 155 with exhaust made by the previous owner, this film is the reason I bought it. Gone but still about somewhere ! 1750 8v with twin 40's Dellorto's on rolling road. James Well, I'd have bought that with that video! You got to love an Alfa V6! Anyway, to keep this rolling, here's another one of mine. Don't want to see just mine. It's easy, give some nice feedback on what you see and better still, post your car up . This time, I'll show the Stag with a ZF 4 speed autobox: Completely stock here bar the 'box With a Holley 4 barrel 390CFM carb on it: And another with it having a set of tubular exhaust manifolds, but also this time, it was featured for the inaugral event for the Coventry MotoFest courtesy of the BBC. It did sound good in that!

Our old Alfa was an Alfasud with a 1750 boxer engine out of an Alfa 33 - a 16v bottom end and 8v head marriage which went well. James

Having owed said 155 v6, I can confirm the noise was incredible. It was also incredibly loud. I've daily driven rotaries that were loud enough to set off car alarms as you drove past, but that 155 was next level. To my shame I ended up fitting the quieter exhaust that came with the car on fairly quickly!
For my own input to the thread I give you the most entertaining and enjoyable little 1.3 engine I've had the pleasure of experiencing, my Lancia Fulvia with back box delete for extra noise.
And my 12a with ITBs from ym Rx7, which had plenty of noise as it was!
