Saxo Bic 🤣🤣🤣🤣 really !!! Let’s call a really boring car after an incredibly boring inanimate object. What genius came up with that!

So according to the internet, there was a 1993 Subaru Legacy Touring Bruce, so named for Bruce Willis as he starred in a series of adverts for the Legacy in Japan in the 90s. As yet I've not been able to find an actual picture of a "Touring Bruce", but there are videos of the ads on youtube at least... Incredible I'm sure you'll agree Also bit odd that there was a trim level called "Brighton" that was a new one on me!

The Netherlands got a Yaris Yorin. Yorin was a radio station aimed at the youths. So this Yaris was available with the 1.0 engine only and came with a "cool CD SOUND SYSTEM with 4 speakers" and a special yellow badge at the back.

again, why ? a whole special with the sunroof as the USP It's kind of like the Ka Sun Collection that ChasR posted but you don't even get a full rollback sunroof! On a similar theme to the Polo Openair or Citroen Saxo Open Scandal (for which there was a thread on here a little while ago) forum.retro-rides.org/thread/213968/love-citroen-saxo-scandal-editionLimited editions based on a single trim upgrade item could almost be its own thread, aside from the sunroof models, I can think of the Renault "Tom Tom" Satnav equipped cars in more recent times

Corsa Premier apparently. I can’t work out what extra features it had related to football or euro 96 apart from the brochure, need to see the text a bit closer up really… www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384162686582

And then there was Ford's Millenium special edition range. Released in limited numbers and all painted yellow. No idea what the colour yellow had to do with the millenium celebrations.

Ford have done hundreds, I’d guess. Here’s just a couple. I had mk1 Fiesta Finesse in 83 I think these Escorts were also available in a maroon colour to. Might be an urban myth but I have a memory of these being built to use surplus parts stock before the new model Escort was released.

They did the same with the fiesta classic, it was a way of selling off the remaining mk before they brought the mk4 out.
