..... and I need some help from you guys.

I'm kinda hoping that when I'm going (dec 10th for a week) there might be some cool car meets or something automotive going on somewhere in the Tokyo area. Only problem being of course, is that I have no idea where or how Id find this out. Tried googling a lot but to no avail, so I thought Id trouble y'all. ;D

Car shop, car meet, street drift action, hey I'm easy! I'm just hoping I get to see something when I'm there if you know what I mean I'm fully prepared that there wont be owt on, its hardly the season for it!

I can just imagine the looks on the faces of the guys at the airport x-ray machine when a load of 'their' subway rings show up in your bag...probably similar to the looks of the police later, followed by the looks on the faces of the chaps at the British Embassy...'They're for my car, we hang them off the towing eye...yes, it does sound a bit silly now'

It was a convergeance of a few things really.....

My mate basically rang and said "I'm in Tokyo for a week in december, you wanna come with?" and it happened to be the same dates Id already booked off of work, and I just got an extra bit of cash at work toooooo, so I thought "why the feck not?!" Always wanted to go! My bro's lending me his fancy Canon DSLR so hopefully pics a plenty should happen.

So far flights are £470 return, with 1 stop. Cheapest Ive found. That actually WAS through lastminute.com LOL. Havent booked a hotel yet as I'm liasing with my friend to see what he has and hasnt booked up yet. I really wanna go longer, but hopefully this will whet my appetite and I can go for some stupid amount of time come summer

Just gotta brush up on the ol' lingo now as my friend is banking on me for that. Last lesson I had was about 7 years ago though! And that was basic stuff! All I can remember is "Hi I'm mark" and "whats your telephone number?"

Hotwire...... isnt Autobacs quite a fair distance out? (thats what I remember people saying before!)

Get in a taxi and give them a map and an address... they will look at you like you are crazy, and then drop you off

You can get a cab back from the supermarket just up the road.
