Hello all I'm in need of some informational help? I'm working on a project to design a model of the Royal Army Landrover Forward Control 101 vehicle. I have been though all of the picsture sites and the usual forums and places I would go to and I have been able to get off to a good start but I'm in need of some detail refrence if possible.
If any one knows of anyone who owns one of these Landrover Forward Control 101's please PM me so I can pass on my contact info so I can contact them for some help?
I'm not working to a deadline on this project but I do want to keep the project moving.
Pete

Try one of the Land Rover Forums or the Land Rover museums?

It will come in handy even if you never use it

I’m pretty sure the Bovington tank museum has a couple of them knocking around. I would imagine they would be more than happy to help, as it’s run by enthusiasts.

Thank you all for your responses I have tried the Landrover forums and Gaydon and I have tried Bovington they were one of the first places no joy mainly because I run a modeling business.
What I'm hoping for is someone who is into Landrovers that has a friend who has one who would be interested in hellping and maybe getting a model of their FC 101 as thanks.
I will keep ploding on with it and see how far I can get.

Hi, I was going to suggest Dunsfold Land Rovers but Philip Bashell has retired and ceased trading. However he's persevering with the collection so he may be interested especially if there's a model at the end of it because they have an extensive diecast model collection already. He's very knowledgable about them, he was responsible for supplying and maintaining the vehicles for the Judge Dread film. This information is not that reliable as far as being current because it's been a while since I was over there, but could be worth a cautious enquiry. www.dunsfoldcollection.co.uk/ Colin

Also as I'm sure you're aware peteh1969 there's several different types, the one you've got pictures of is a GS, there's radiobodied and ambulances too, not to mention vampires I'll take my anorak off now! Also if you're anywhere near Newbury/chieveley on 10th April there's the 4x4 and vintage autojumble on, there is nearly always a good turnout of them there, if you can wait that long!

Progress has been made with the Help of jimspolicev8sd1 with some V8 measurements. I don't use Facebook procrastinator so if any one could contact them and ask them to contact me on phd_designs@phd-design-etchings.co.uk I would be grateful? Pete

Just seen this! My dad has two of these, a general service and a radio-bodied one. Let me know if there are any particular dimensions you need and I am sure he could help.
