Hi all, real long shot here and the photos have the main details. My friend has a 2002 Dispatch with a slightly rusty part. She's been told by her garage it's a panhard rod and apparently there are two types - typically the one she needs no-one can find. I've tried and can't even find a diagram listing it and it looks nothing like my 2005 Peugeot Expert. So, can anyone help? Looking around, what are the issue with just swapping the entire rear with the other type? I've not seen the part as she lives 100's miles away, but if it's got enough meat on it I'd be tempted to sleeve and weld.

ci.catcar.info/peugeot/img/pr/30/00092830.jpgAnything on there look vaguely correct? I note the van is registered as an 815kg variant. Sounds like you have an Expert 3, 05 was around changeover, expert 2 looked similar but had a lot of differences.

Part #2 is what I think the item is meant to be, but the ends are turned up and bigger.

Can the one pictured not be repaired by welding? I don' mean a bodge but cutting the hole back to good metal and welding in the correct thickness of fresh metal?

I've not seen it in person as she's 200 mile's away and is getting a garage to do the work which is why a bolt on replacement is preferable. I might be able to see it at some pount this weekend.
