Hi, I’ve not been on here for a while but thought I’d come back and will try and make a point of posting rather than just looking.
Here’s my motors.
1993 Vauxhall Nova 1.2i Swing 80k
First 3/4 owners were same family, then a couple of local ones and then me.
Tried buying it years ago, but eventually got a text saying it was for sale, however when I went to look at it it’d seen better days, I still bought it, got vast amounts of welding done and then rattle canned it on my drive. Added coilovers and steels and that’s it.
I managed to get in touch with a previous owner (the first owners daughter) and she sent me a pic of when it was new. Later she unfortunately informed me her dad had passed on but as she was clearing his things out she found all the original paperwork for the car, from the order form, bill of sale, delivery later etc.
Plan was to use the car until the Escort was done but now think I’ll just end up keeping it, and will eventually get it mint.
1973 Ford Escort 1100 base 54k
Had this for 12 years, bought as a near complete car minus engine and front seats, stripped it down and left it in the garage, family and work took over but chipped away at buying parts and panels, until last year when I bit the bullet and got it booked in for welding.
It is now like a brand new shell done to type 49 spec.
I bought a battered fiesta st150 for its engine and plan to turbo it.
Currently dry building it and hopefully get it painted nearer the end of the year.
I also managed to get in touch with a couple of previous owners of this car and managed to get the original front seats back, advert and receipt when he bought the car and a few old pics of it.
The first 3 owners of this car were also same family.
