A mate has one of my dream cars, and is struggling with engine noise. Various things have been tried, about the only thing left to have a go with is the engine mounts.
They about a million pounds each when (if) they turn up, apparently!
IIRC, someone either repaired or reinforced engine mounts with Tigerseal or similar?
Any experiences with this, or a cheaper-than-new refurb option? All help gratefully received!

Is there another vehicle that shares the mount ?
If you put a pic up of it/them on here , someone may recognise it from something else that’s easier to obtain .
Or suggest a custom route to take .

Castable polyurethane is cheap and easy to use for either custom or to repair mounts. This is a jig for Omega diff mounts, that have been NLA for years: That jig is over the top for one offs, but I've done about a dozen pairs in it. Completed part

I'll see if I can get pics. It's an Alfa Romeo 155 Q4, lots of bits are similar to Lancia Delta Integrale IIRC

If you can get measurements of the part you could get a mould 3d-printed to cast the polyurethane in. I first saw people doing this with K11 Micra mounts, strangely. They took the old mount apart and cast it all in place without a jig or mould, so you might not even need one depending on the design.

I've just fixed some top mounts on my MGF with TigerSeal, replacements cost twice the car cost at £18, no one's got time for that!
Make sure they're impressively clean if you do it mind

Sometimes I print them as is, depending on the part and geometery you can make an even better mount than OE because you can print in internal geometery in sealed areas.

Are they solid or hydraulic mounts?

If I could buy them for £18, I wouldn't be spending an hour per mount cleaning them up to fill with £10 of urethane. The one shown was for my car; the others I've done were sold for £50 a pair exchange.
