Looking for recommendations of lubricant that can be sprayed down the window channels of car doors to help the glass slide easier. My understanding is that silicon lubricant spray is okay. However, I have it in my mind that the standard wd40 lubricant is not a good idea, (no idea where I got that thought from).

I think for this kind of thing you need a dry lubricant, something graphite based.

I'd go for silicon based, WD40 probably not the best.

Fitting security locks we use GT85 and seems too work a treat on window channels.

No, It's an example of a silicon based product from ebay Here is another that is good from personal experience Good luck I'm sure it will work
