Thanks , I have several cars and just took this in p/x , not driven it yet , hoovered , polished interior , engine checks , all the usual stuff when it’s so wet outside , anyway very little history with the car but guy I took it from was a genuinely decent guy , 116 k miles with MOT till next year , interior is unmarked , nothing broken or damaged and everything works , there is one receipt from 2009 for engine works which totals £575 but no description so I’ve emailed the garage hoping they have a record , engine sounds very sweet and just drive over 4hrs to get here . Previous owner had both rear sills where they meet rear arches cut out and professionally repaired but he only temporarily painted these areas , bad point is paintwork , I’m guessing poor Rover work when built as lacquer has peeled most of roof and bonnet too , I’m not bothered and as I don’t plan to keep car long term don’t think the cost of a respray would be a good financial move , but if a Rover enthusiast had it resprayed it would be a very very nice example . DVLA say only 8 of these tourers on the road with a further 15 sorned so I think it would be a super car for the right person . Tomorrow I’ll give it a wash , get it up on the ramp and then take it a drive . There is something appealing about it so who knows I might yet become a Rover fan …
