Seconds out round two (one day I'll stop counting these) What is the chat thread? We live in a world with a lot of bite sized content and this forum is built around perhaps more meaty things (build threads, show photo galleries, technical questions, etc.). This thread will run for a week at a time and is the place to drop those smaller things you've seen (and chat about them!). So links to interesting articles, an Instagram post, a video and all that smaller scale stuff the internet produces now. Previous Thread: forum.retro-rides.org/thread/223276/chat-thread-first-wc-17

Let's start the week with a slammed Shogun/Pajero/Dodge Raider This has instantly reminded me of Hulk Shogun ...from back in 2007, wonder what happened to it?

I saw a mid 2000s ish Rav 4 yesterday lowered, looked great.
I've always fancied a slammed Mk1 Rav 4 or Mk1 HondaCrv

I've just spent a few minutes looking around and modified early Rav4s are hard to find! They must be out there! In my head I'm seeing mint green paint, 90s graphics, lowered on some impossibly cool wheel that I can't think of. Although I'm low-key obsessed with TSW Venoms, so in my head it rolls on those...!

I was in NYC last week and saw a slammed Suzuki Samurai with a straight pipe, sounded terrible, looked fantastic. 2nd Gen Rav4s are really starting to Pique my interest after I saw this one: http://instagram.com/p/Cb1oVGGOKUa Corolla based, so lowering shouldn't be a massive headache and I believe 5x114.3 so wheels will be good! Also Xtrails They look good slammed. Tom

Let's start the week with a slammed Shogun/Pajero/Dodge Raider This has instantly reminded me of Hulk Shogun ...from back in 2007, wonder what happened to it? It looks like it was chopped up and parted out in 2014 according to a post on Paul Marston Racing's facebook page... but in about 2017 the rev-counter ended up in a twin-turbo Cortina...

Ahh, top research skills. I had a long chat with the owner of that Cortina, he was made up when I asked if it was actually a Cortina rather than a Taunus!

They look good slammed. Tom Everything does You got me thinking about Subaru Foresters, so I went googling for pics and found that we already have a thread on them here: forum.retro-rides.org/thread/163106although TBH when it comes to Subarus I'm very much an early Legacy kinda guy, especially in Elonex livery. rainking will be along shortly to say they look better in Rothmans colours.

DarrenW Hulk Shogun is now my favourite drag race car name pun It's definitely one of mine, I was always disappointed that he didn't finish a winning run with "HULK SMASH!"

That looks fairly capable over that kind of terrain! I remember trying to follow a "wide boy" one along a twisty bit of road in my Saxo VTR and the thing pulled away from me entirely! Turns out it had a near 180hp 3SGE

A standard looking Corsa B with a Saab turbo engine (I don't know Saab engines but one from a Vauxhall based 900 or 9-3?), roughly 300bhp. http://instagram.com/p/CjAC_Z2jfDh

No pic as I was driving but I saw a Fiat croma in the wild today. Pre 1991 black plastic grille model as well. The occupants looked rather ‘onslow and daisy’, as did the car. Definatley not the sort to appreciate it’s retroness, and it got me thinking if it’s possibly the only one left…
