ChasR sorry you had to experience that, sounds horrendous.
S124 is a good purchase though
When you get the the "start improving the house" bit that is where all the car things go out the window
Cheers mate. Not what anyone should be, but I suppose it serves as a reminder :/.
You are not wrong regarding home improvements! At least I have two cars to help me there! . Garage will be the big one to sort out, and then a kitchen titivation ; it's basically very old, albeit functional.
I've sorted out the garage today, mainly due to the S124 purchase. The M3 is basically a slightly rusty ornament in there, and the motorbike could sort of be seen in the rubbish.
I'll add some pics to here later, and update the garage thread again.

On the other end, I witness the aftermath of this bike accident , when I went for a ride out with a group of guys, which frankly, shook me up a little more than I expected. To see what you thought was an alive, but injured person at the side of the road is something. To know it was something else really hits home further. But I'm alright, and as jrevillug has said, it's all about risk management.
Years ago I was driving down the M1 headed south. Traffic was shocking and I was crawling along in the right hand lane. It was due to people rubbernecking an accident on the other (Northbound) side. A Max Power style Fiat Punto had hit the barrier somehow. There was an underbonnet fire, with flames starting to lick out of the front wheel wells. The doors were pinned shut by the front wings having shifted back and two coppers were doing thier best to smash the door windows using what appeared to be the jack out of the cop car and an axe of some sort, but the car had security tints or whatever and it was just spiderwebbing the glass and not breaking through.
I thought "oh by heck someone is stuck in that" and I was another couple of car lengths down in my queue and I saw the coppers running for it. Another few seconds and there was a sort of WHUMP noise and in my mirror I could just see lots and lots of thick smoke filling the Northbound M1.
I can only assume they did not get anyone out of that.
Cheers folks!
It's not something anyone should witness, albeit it seems like a few of us have. I suppose it's about accepting that vehicles can be dangerous and moving on with that. Sorry you had to witness what you did akku!
On another plus side, I did the Bicester Scramble. Granted, there was more 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and even some 20s stuff, but there was something for someone, and it was quite somthing to see some variety. While most the of 10s and 20s stuff didn't grab my attention, some stuff much older did, as did the 80s-00s stuff. It's funny how my tastes have changed. I really wasn't into much 80s stuff, bar Fords, some BMWs, and so on. But I suppose time and getting older does change perspectives.
Those pics deserve their own thread, which I'll start at some point.
