'73 914, finished in its original Porsche Blue. Stunning example, original 2.0 with the 5 speed dog-leg gear box (The one to have, so I'm told). Imported from Florida, lovely shell, fully restored over here with all parts present. Perfect paint job, immaculate bodywork. Fully refurbished set of original wheels. Stunning refurbished interior and seats. Engine starts and runs. Nice lot of paperwork from Porsche, and all relevant NOVA and import documents here ready to register it in the UK. All duties and TAX etc paid. It wants a bit of finishing off, seats and bumpers fitting up etc. Everything is complete and present with the car. Previous owner was into it over £20k and has been restored 'properly' - will be mint and worth strong money when finished off, and it is just a case of spending a bit of time 'finishing' the car off. Happy to assist with delivery via a fully trusted and insured local recovery firm. Thanks, Matt

Not sure the reality matches the advert though... Does the car not match my advert? In what way? The guy who brought it, loved it in person, hence why he brought it after viewing. I have sold enough classics over the years, with enough happy customers, including the new owner of this one. I was told that they would be digging into the car until they 'find' something for the drama of the YouTube series. Love it when people state comments like these without even seeing the car or without posting a valid point!

I think it's where your ad says this: ... fully restored over here with all parts present. ... Perfect paint job, immaculate bodywork. ... Previous owner was into it over £20k and has been restored 'properly'... And the car has gaping holes in the inner wings, and that's from the snippets of the first video I saw.

I also think this is what people are getting at .

As I said previously, the buyer and his mechanics made a full inspection of car and were and are happy with the purchase. As buyer said in the video, it was a cheap project car. Also as stated previously the buyer told me they would dig as deep as the could to 'find' problems. You can't earn money makeing a series of YouTube videos fitting a set of seats and bumpers at the end of the day, can you.

It's mad to see what a half decent paint job can hide isn't it.

Thankfully purchased by someone that looks like he can afford to make a "buyer beware" cock-up - It would have be tragic if it was bought by someone who stretched themselves to buy the project of their dreams only to find out it was an utterly rotten banana.

I wouldn't normally clutter up a thread with chatter but this is out of the ordinary (or is it?)
Let that be a lesson to us all in curse word car world - all is not what it seems - and a description and photos or even an in person viewing don't always tell the truth.
Makes you think again about using one of those magnetic paint gauge thickness things. You might feel a bit nerdy and distrustful when using one but if it's that or getting your dream turd home and finding a filler mine.......

Just seen those photos, why an earth have they laid so much filler on the side of the car?! And the work they have given themselves flatting and shaping it... reminds me of some of those South African 'restored' classics with filler in like that.
